    Description

    You are bidding on an Extremely Rare, Unusually Large, Antique,  Dedham Pottery Bowl in the Rabbit Pattern..  This bowl was handmade and Hand Decorated between 1896 and 1929 as the backstamp will attest, but I personally believe it was made closer to 1896..  This Bowl is most Unusual in that it has Two Large bands of Decorations..  The Rabbit Band is a whopping 2&3/16 Inches wide..  The bowl itself is a full 12 Inches Across and sits 5&3/4 Inches Tall..  It weighs 3&1/2 Pounds..  It is in perfect condition except for a crack that has been repaired with staples, as was the method of repair in the 19th century..  So this rare bowl will appeal to "Make-Do" collectors as well as Dedham Collectors..  The crack is along a crackle glaze line and the photos show it quite well..  It will be shipped in an oversize box via Priority Mail..
